Aluminium cable
and conductor scrap

Aluminium is the metal of overhead lines, service cable and heavy power distribution. We buy aluminium cable and conductor scrap, bare or insulated, with or without a steel core, and sort it so the aluminium goes back to the melt as clean metal.

Where it comes from

Where aluminium cable
comes from

  • 01

    Overhead conductors

Bare aluminium line conductors from power distribution and re-conductoring work.

  • 02

    ACSR cable

Aluminium conductor steel-reinforced cable, with its steel core separated out.

  • 03

    Service & power cable

Insulated aluminium service-entry and distribution cable.

  • 04

    Armoured aluminium cable

Heavy cable with aluminium conductors and an armour layer, from industrial sites.

  • 05

    Telecom & misc. wire

    Aluminium-conductor telecom and general-purpose wire.

About aluminium recovery →
  1. 01

    Sort by type

All-aluminium, steel-cored (ACSR), insulated and armoured cable are separated, because each is priced differently.

  2. 02

    Weigh & record

Each lot is weighed on a calibrated scale and recorded on a weighment slip.

  3. 03

    Strip & split

Insulation is stripped or granulated away and steel cores and armour are separated out with magnets.

  4. 04

    Clean & bale

Clean aluminium is baled, weighed again and dispatched for remelting into new ingot.

Questions

Aluminium Cable FAQ

What is the aluminium cable scrap rate today?+

Rates follow the metal markets and depend on whether the cable is bare, insulated or steel-cored. Tell us what you have, with weight and a photo, for a same-day quote after inspection.

Do you buy ACSR with the steel core?+

Yes. We buy it as it is. The steel core is separated out and the lot is priced on the aluminium it contains.

How do I tell aluminium cable from copper cable?+

Aluminium is silver-grey and much lighter. Copper is orange-red. If you are unsure, send a photo of a cut end and we will tell you which it is.

Can you collect from a utility or contractor site?+

Yes. We arrange pickups of conductor and cable lots from contractor yards, utilities, factories and demolition sites across Bengaluru and Karnataka, with weighing and documentation.

Is there a minimum quantity?+

No. We take small lots and bulk truckloads alike.
