E-waste
back to metal

Prince Recyclers has been recycling in Bengaluru since 2009. Old laptops, servers, circuit boards and solar panels come in, and the glass, aluminium, silicon, silver and copper go back out.

01 · End of life

A solar panel after 25 years

Its glass, aluminium, silicon, silver and copper can all still be recovered.

02 · Taken apart

Frame, glass, encapsulant and cells

Each layer is separated so every material can be recovered cleanly.

03 · By weight

About 75% glass, 10% aluminium, 3% silicon

Silver is under 1% by weight but about half the recovered value.

04 · Back to material

Cells gathered for silicon and silver recovery

Glass and aluminium go straight back to manufacturers.

What we offer

From your site back to raw metal

We weigh every load at pickup, keep a record of it, and send you the certificate when the job is done.

  1. 01

    Best value for your scrap

Rates by grade and weight, paid on a documented weighment.

  2. 02

    Solar panel recycling

End-of-life, broken and rejected modules, in any quantity.

  3. 03

    IT asset disposal

Laptops, servers and networking gear, logged by serial.

  4. 04

    Certified data destruction

Wipe, degauss or shred, with a certificate per serial.

  5. 05

    Compliance documents

Weighbridge slips, Form 6 manifests, recycling certificates.

Solar waste

Solar panels are the next e-waste problem

Panels last around 25 years, and India's first large installations are now getting old. Under the E-Waste Rules 2022, old solar modules have to go to an authorised recycler.

Sorting by material

Broken cells in, four materials out

01 · Mixed scrap

One heap of broken cells

Fragments, ribbons and metal all mixed together.

02 · Sorting

Separated by what it is made of

Silicon-rich pieces, silver contacts, aluminium and copper go different ways.

03 · Four piles

Silicon, silver, aluminium, copper

Each one is tested before it goes on to refining. A 3D illustration, not a recording of our line.

Our Mission

Take e-waste out of the waste stream and put its metals back to work.

  • CollectPickups from homes, offices, factories and plants across Bengaluru and Karnataka.
  • SortEvery lot is weighed, graded and separated by material.
Bundles of copper cathode
  • RecoverCopper, aluminium, gold and silicon go back into use, never to open burning.
  • DocumentWeights and recycling paperwork for every load, plus data destruction certificates.

What's inside

What is inside your old devices

Pick a device to see which materials can be recovered from it.

  • Copper200–300 kg
  • Gold~165 g (up to 900 g)
  • Palladium12–15 g

Typical recoverable metal in one tonne of printed circuit boards. Gold content varies widely by board grade. Bars use a log scale.

The process

What happens to your equipment

We follow the same nine steps on every job, from loading the vehicle to handing you the certificate. These are the first three.

  1. 01

    Pickup & weighing

Our vehicle collects from your site in sealed bins. Every load is weighed and the slip shared with you.

  2. 02

    Inventory & chain of custody

Every device that holds data is logged by serial number before it goes anywhere else.

  3. 03

    Data destruction

Drives are software-wiped, degaussed or physically shredded, depending on what you need.

Compliance

The paperwork you will need

Companies and institutions are required to give e-waste only to authorised recyclers and to keep records of it. We give you the documents for that file.

  • ✓Weighbridge slip for every load
  • ✓Itemised asset list with serials
  • ✓Certificate of Data Destruction
  • ✓Recycling certificate
  • ✓E-waste transport manifest (Form 6)
  • ✓GST invoice & e-way bill

What comes out of the process

Some of these we recover ourselves and some go through refining partners. Hazardous ones like lead are separated and sent to authorised facilities.
